While dishing on his upcoming movie, The Accountant, Ben Affleck spilled some major details about DC’s upcoming Batman movie, in which Affleck will star, as well as co-write and direct. One major detail is the title of the film, which he revealed is appropriately, wait for it, ‘The Batman…’ For now. Ben told Entertainment Weekly QUOTE “At least that’s what we’re going with now… I might change it.” Well, in case they decide to spice up the rather generic title, there is plenty of time to do so. The release date for ‘The Batman’ has yet to be set, but it is expected to hit the big screen by 2020, and maybe even as soon as 2018, which means that Ben Affleck will be a very busy man over the next few years.
Before The Batman, Affleck will also appear in DC’s Justice League which is currently slated for a November 2017 release. And for DC fans, the movies keep coming after that. For now, fans can also look forward to The Flash movie and Aquaman in 2018, all leading up to ‘The Batman.’
If The Batman stays on track with a 2018 release remains to be seen, as does the title of the film. What do you guys think of the working title and do you think it’s going to stick?
